Latest iPhone 8 Rumors: Third-Party Case Maker Leaked The Device Design, Possible New Color Option “Copper Gold “
From the current point of view, the overall design of the iPhone 8 is all-but-confirmed at this point, yet another image today claims to show the device in a third-party case. It seems to once again "confirmed" the next generation of Apple's flagship iPhone Design. The image shared by serial mobile phone leaker Evan Blass.
The image corroborates a render of the 5.8-inch iPhone with the edge-to-edge display sans physical Home button and a notch along the top of the device housing the camera, infrared sensor, and speaker components. The handset is enclosed in what looks like a rugged Urban Armor Gear case sporting cutouts for volume controls and a mute switch in the regular places.
While Blass doesn’t specify which case the iPhone 8 is in, but according to fellow leaker Benjamin Geskin is almost certainly be a case form UAG. Wherever the image came from, what we can be fairly sure of is that the handset shown closely resembles Apple's finalized design, which was apparently unintentionally confirmed by the company itself when it opened HomePod Firmware to developers last week.
Another leaks from Chinese social networking site Weibo, which a unconfirmed photos depict a possible new case color for the iPhone 8. Alongside the typical black and white case colors, there is an iPhone supposedly touting a brand new color: copper gold, the new colorway is also visually similar to current rose gold iPhones. As shown down below.
The final image shows a supposed photo of a Foxconn facility, showing a box filled with new iPhone models that feature a rear fingerprint sensor. We certainly give this image almost no credibility as an indicator of the 2017 iPhone lineup; we don’t believe the iPhone 8 feature a rear fingerprint sensor, since Apple reportedly plan to replace Touch ID with Facial Recognition!
